Important: about therapy referrals from The Personality Project
Before you continue to a third-party platform, please read this carefully.
The Personality Project is not a healthcare provider. We are a wellness and self-education platform. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental-health condition. The therapy referrals we surface are not medical advice and are not a clinical recommendation tailored to your specific condition.
The destination platform is an independent third party. We are not affiliated with them as a clinical partner. Our relationship with them may be an affiliate-marketing relationship: if you complete a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee. We do not select, supervise, license, or vouch for the individual providers on the destination platform. We cannot guarantee the quality, the licensing status, or the availability of any specific provider on that platform.
Our suggestion is not a clinical endorsement. That The Personality Project surfaces a particular platform to you does not mean we are saying it is the right fit for your condition, that it has been clinically validated for your needs, or that the providers there are qualified to address your specific situation. Only a qualified, licensed healthcare provider in your jurisdiction can make that assessment.
Before making a treatment decision, consult a qualified provider. A licensed clinician who knows your full clinical history is the appropriate person to advise on whether online therapy generally, and the specific platform we surfaced, is appropriate for you. This is especially important if you have a serious or complex condition, are taking medication, or are in an active therapeutic relationship.
If you are in crisis, contact emergency services directly. Online therapy platforms are not designed for crisis response. If you are considering harm to yourself or others, or if you are in immediate danger:
- United States and Canada: call 911 for emergency response, or 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US and Canada)
- Quebec: 1-866-APPELLE (1-866-277-3553), or 911
- United Kingdom: 999 for emergency response, or Samaritans 116 123
- European Union: 112 for emergency response, plus your member-state crisis line
- Or use any of the regional resources listed on our Find Support page
