7. Disclaimer
The Personality Project is not a clinical assessment tool. Results are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not liable for any decisions made based on assessment results. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Personality Project and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars (CAD $100) if you have not made any payments.
9. Data Accuracy
Scores generated by The Personality Project are estimates derived from adaptive testing and psychometric models. They are not absolute measures of personality or cognitive ability. As our calibration dataset grows, scoring models may be refined, and individual scores may be adjusted to reflect improved accuracy. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the validity and reliability of our assessments but do not guarantee that scores will remain constant over time or across model updates.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or extended periods of inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of British Columbia, subject to any arbitration provision in these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
